Kampur Travel Diaries was co-founded by Kamal and Purvi who wanted to share their passion for East Africa with the rest of the world.
Kamal has always loved being in outdoor spaces and truly believes that you grow as a person when there are no walls confining you. A former Kenyan International swimmer, he has travelled extensively around Eastern and Southern Africa and has a special interest in exploring off the beaten track places in East Africa. He is a qualified Safari Guide and manages the daily operations of the business. He is passionate about experiential travel and wants our guests to see East Africa in a unique way.
Purvi’s passion for travel was fuelled from the road trips and visits to national parks around Kenya with her family as a child. Some of her earliest memories are watching elephants at a salt lick in the Aberdares. During her university years, she travelled extensively around Europe, USA, South America and Australia, but there was always a great pull to return home. Her soul would always be in Africa. Her passion is to get you to feel the beautiful energy that makes up the diverse countries of East Africa so special. She is a qualified tour consultant and specialises in the little details that make your safari exceptional.
